Refund policy
Returns, Refunds and Replacements
Every canvas we sell is made to order. Nothing is held in stock: when you place an order, your chosen painting is printed and finished specifically for you, in your chosen size and format. Because each piece is produced individually for you, the terms below are written for a made-to-order product.
1. Our 7-day quality promise. We stand behind every piece we make. If, within 7 days of receiving your order, your canvas arrives damaged, defective, or with a quality defect in the print or finish, email shop@peteschuil.live with your order number and clear photographs of the item (and its packaging, if it arrived damaged). We will reprint or refund it. If a piece is faulty or damaged we will never ask you to pay to return it; we may ask you to keep the item and packaging for a short period, or arrange collection, so we can investigate.
2. Cancellations. You may cancel for a full refund before your order enters production. Because production begins promptly after payment is confirmed, we cannot guarantee a cancellation once an order is placed — contact us at shop@peteschuil.live as soon as possible and we will stop production if the piece has not yet started.
3. Change of mind. Because each canvas is made to order specifically for you, we cannot accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind, buyer's remorse, or an incorrect size, format or orientation chosen at checkout, once production has begun. Please check your selection carefully before ordering — every listing shows the size name, its exact dimensions, and the price together. (This is separate from our 7-day quality promise above, which always applies.)
4. Non-delivery or loss in transit. All orders ship tracked. If your tracking shows the parcel has not arrived, contact us within 30 days of the dispatch date and we will investigate with the courier and either re-produce and re-ship your order or refund it in full.
5. Colour and finish. Each canvas is reproduced from a high-resolution scan of Pete Schuil's original painting, colour-matched and inspected before dispatch. Minor variation between the colours on your screen and the finished print is a normal characteristic of fine-art printing.
6. Incorrect delivery details. If an order cannot be delivered because incorrect or incomplete delivery details were provided at checkout, we will help arrange re-delivery, but any re-shipping cost may be passed on.
7. Duties and taxes (international orders). Prices and shipping do not include any import duties, customs charges or local taxes that your country may apply on arrival. Where these apply, they are the responsibility of the recipient and are collected by the carrier or customs authority.
8. Refunds. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method (or an equivalent channel where that is not possible) once the claim is confirmed.
9. Our liability. Where we are liable for a faulty, damaged or non-delivered item, our responsibility is limited to replacing the item or refunding the price you paid for it. This does not affect any statutory rights you have under the consumer-protection laws of your country of residence that cannot be excluded by agreement.
10. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Nothing in this policy removes any mandatory consumer rights available to you under the laws of the country in which you purchase.
